Can we blame the record companies? No, not 100%. Could they have done more? Yes. When someone has a substance abuse problem the job of friends should be to intervene. Unfortunately the job of business associates is to make sure the person in question still makes money for them. Are they enablers? Yes they are but without the intelligence to realize it. It makes me grateful for the fact that the 10 years I took off from TFF was the wisest choice I ever made & I’m sorry that Whitney didn’t have that opportunity or a spouse & friends to support her.
