England World Cup Song Press Requests

As I’ve been asked by a few members of the wonderful UK press for a comment on the choice of Shout as the England World Cup song, I thought it may be easier to list my feelings here. That way any journalist is free to pick a quote, take it out of context, appear that they have actually had a conversation with me and then we’re all happy! Feel free at the end to add your own quotes, and if it’s something I feel I would have said I’ll steal it, butcher it beyond recognition and release it as something new and interesting of my own :) “Pleased as punch old bean”

“Too busy decorating my LA pad to notice”

“England made it to the World Cup?”

“Who’s the fat dude?”

“Isn’t the chorus a rip off of something?”

“I’m homeless and penniless in Los Angeles after spending all my money on drugs and booze. I’ll take any publicity I can get. Want to do an uplifting story about me?”

“Who’s Simon Cowell?”

“I’ve got a great picture of me looking really old – want to buy it?”

“I’m now a devout Buddhist living at a temple in Desert Hot Springs, my religious beliefs tell me that I have to love it”

“Is that really the correct spelling of Dizzee?”

“How dare they butcher a perfectly good Kajagoogoo song!”

“I guess Susan Boyle was too busy to do the song”

“At least the boost in album sales will help pay for my next round of plastic surgery”

“Frankly my dear I don’t give a damn”

“Face? Bovvered?”

“Sorry love (come on England) but you must have me confused (come on England) with someone who gives a s..t (come on England)”

“Look at Dizzee, now back at me, I’m on a horse”
