I’d already been planning to do a Twitter chat before leaving on tour when @rcheal brought it up yesterday. So now I’ve scheduled a time: 6pm PT / 9pm ET this Sunday 8th August. I’ll stick around as long as I can, up to an hour, and answer as many of your questions as I can get to.. Just remember, I need to be able to answer them in 140 characters!
If you haven’t followed a Twitter chat before, here’s what to do:
Be on Twitter at Sunday at 6pm PT / 9PM ET. I’ll plan to be online for up to an hour and to answer as many questions as I can get to. Keep in mind that the point of Twitter is short bursts of information… so don’t expect answers longer than 140 characters. 
1) To ask me a question, address it to me (@curtsmith) and include the hashtag #curtchat (very important).
2) When I answer a question, I’ll include the hashtag #curtchat in my response.
3) To follow along, enter #curtchat in the search box and stay on the results page. It will refresh automatically as new questions (and my answers) containing that hashtag come in.
You don’t need to be a member of Twitter to read the questions and answers (only to pose questions). If you don’t belong to Twitter and you don’t want to join, just go to Twitter.com and enter #curtchat in the search box (you may need to keep refreshing to see new entries).
If time zones or other commitments prevent you from being online during the chat, you can do a search anytime (for a while, anyway) thereafter for the hashtag #curtchat to read it all. If we can, we’ll post a transcript as well.
