Mayfield

After leaving Tears for Fears in 1990, Curt Smith moved to New York. There he met his longtime bandmates Charlton Pettus and Doug Petty, with whom he performed as Mayfield (Curt Is Mayfield – get it?). This album is the result of their early collaboration. Click here to listen to it.

Amazon.com is selling a print- on-demand version of the CD. This is the only retailer that will have the CD for sale. Unfortunately, it’s only available from Amazon’s US store. (So – if you can’t buy from the US store – find a friend who can and will mail it to you.)
The Mayfield Deluxe Bundle will have a CD – same tracks, different packaging. The Deluxe Bundle version will have a cardboard sleeve; the Amazon version will come in a jewel box. The Deluxe Bundle should be available by the end of November and I’ll share details about it very soon.

All Is Love is the first song from a planned album-length project of collaborations with artists Curt meets or discovers via social media. For this track he wanted cello, and reached out to the phenomenal Zoë Keating, whose strings lend the track an anthemic, stirring air.
