In addition to his many Tears For Fears and solo music videos, Curt has taken a number of recent turns in front of the camera as presenter, actor, and guest.
He hosted and produced the first season of Stripped Down Live, a weekly music series streamed live over the web, which debuted in July 2010. In between songs, Smith would interview the guest artists, and take live questions submitted by viewers via Skype and the show’s chat room. His guests included The Daylights, Carina Round, Matthew Sweet, Gary Jules, Chris Pierce, Hypnogaja, Peter Himmelman, Common Rotation, Fitz & The Tantrums and Friendly Indians.
Also in 2010, he appeared as a guest star in the Shawn 2.0 episode of the long-running USA Network series Psych. He subsequently appeared with series stars James Roday and Duel Hill to open the series’ 2010 Comic Con panel, and continued his involvement with the show when his song This Is Christmas was used in the show’s season 5 holiday episode, The Polarizing Express.
He has also appeared as a contestant on the game show Celebrity Liar (he won!), and as a guest on one of the first episodes of the award-winning Kevin Pollak’s Chat Show.
