Smith enjoys matching music to visual imagery. He most recently composed the score to the independent feature Meth Head, along with his longtime collaborator Charlton Pettus. Other recent work in television, film and web scoring and soundtrack includes:
- The closing theme for Kevin Pollak’s Chat show
- Re-recording the theme to the USA Network Series PSYCH
- The song “This Is Christmas,” which was used in the season 5 holiday episode of PSYCH
