We had an incredible 2010 season of “Stripped Down Live” programs. Mike, Arlene and I, aided by an insanely dedicated crew, took the show from an idea to a full-fledged series. We fulfilled our mission of showcasing a wide range of performers, from solo artists to full bands, across an impressive variety of genres, performing and chatting with us (and you!) live.
However, my vision for the show going forward doesn’t fit ideally with the balance of Mike’s expanding Streamin’ Garage network of programming. So after much thought, I’ve decided to step aside and let Mike move on, if he wishes, with “Stripped Down Live” as he would like it to be.
As for me… I’ve absolutely loved hosting and producing a live music show, so I’m quite sure you’ve not seen the last of me in that regard.
I’d like to thank everyone on our “Stripped Down Live” production team: co-producers Corey Levin and Adam Schenck; sound team Bobbo Byrnes, Rhune Kincaid and Emily Goodwin; cameramen Adam Schenck, Perry Payne and Barry Gribble; makeup artists Kelly LaBanco and Kat Steel; social media manager Elaine Ewing; publicist Eric Alper; set designer Julie Ziah; and of course Philip Nelson and NewTek/TriCaster. (Please forgive me, anyone I’ve inadvertently omitted!)
Thanks most of all to the musicians who came and played: Hypnogaja, Carina Round, Chris Pierce, Peter Himmelman, Common Rotation, Gary Jules, All Day Sucker, The Daylights, Matthew Sweet, The Fallen Stars, Nightmare & The Cat, The Whiskey Saints, Fitz & The Tantrums, and Friendly Indians. Regardless of genre, they all rocked.
Curt
